The site is really starting to take shape, with a number of houses already watertight and scaffold down.
As part of the Considerate Constructors Scheme, the site has complied with the Schemes Code of Considerate Practice and on our last review we were awarded a score of Excellent. The aim of the Scheme is to raise standards and build public trust in the construction industry, we were delighted to receive this score and our aim is to achieve this upon further reviews.
As part of our commitment to improving the environmental features and enhancements within the development and riverside meadows, we have already started installing bee and bat bricks into the houses. Also to be included will be hedgehog highways, log/brash piles for reptiles, amphibians, small mammals and invertebrates and otter holt log piles, these will all encourage diversity of wildlife and vegetation within the site.
Many new trees, hedges, open spaces and landscaped areas will also be incorporated within the development and Riverside Meadow Country Park. We have also started constructing sustainable drainage features for the site which will eventually assist with controlling rainwater runoff as well as providing attractive public amenity spaces.
